We heart Mo

It’s here! Although it is the first day and you can’t quite see them yet, they will grow as the month unfolds. They are spiky, stylish, bushy, thin, sexy, and come in all shapes and sizes. That’s Movember baby! A time to grow and LOVE moustaches.

Five Mo Sistas and one Mo Bro from the Corporate Communications and Public Relations program at Centennial College partnered with the Movember Foundation to change the face of men’s health.

Movember dedicates November to fight prostate and testicular cancer and men’s mental health challenges since 2003.

Every 22 minutes a man dies from prostate cancer, and testicular cancer can strike as early as 15 years old. One in five men will experience a mental health illness this year and the life expectancy for Canadian men is four years less than women.

This project is a tribute to the important men in our life and yours. We are committed to fight this battle with them.

On Monday, 'Movember' 25 we invite YOU to rally up your Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to help us raise awareness. A Salute to the Moustache is dedicated to Movember and will be hosted at Measure. This is your chance to come and support local Mo Bros participating in a below the belt fashion show as they show off their sexy moustaches. Grow your moustache or come cheer on the models for what’s sure to be a memorable night filled with food, drinks, music, dance and exciting prizes.

Proceeds from the night will be donated to Movember to fund innovative research to advance clinical tests to change the statistics revolving around men’s health. Movember allocated 87.2% of the amount raised last year to men’s mental health programs.

Don’t miss out, join us this Movember to grow and support moustaches. We want to hear from you and see pictures of your moustaches! Send us your story, comment on men’s health issues and come to Measure on November 25th for a memorable night dedicated to a great cause.
